Why We Built This Site
Minnesota gives the public broad access to court records, but the hard part is knowing which office holds the file you need. District Court Administration handles civil, criminal, family, probate, juvenile, and traffic case files in Duluth, Hibbing, and Virginia. St. Louis County Public Records/Recorder handles marriage licenses, marriage certificates, vital records, and recording work. The Sheriff's Office handles the jail roster, warrant lists, and public-data requests. Statewide tools such as Minnesota Court Records Online, the BCA criminal-history search, and Minnesota court fee and access rules fill in the rest. We gather those office names, portals, and request steps in one place.

Only the issuing court or government office can provide a certified copy with an official seal. Under Minnesota access rules, including Minn. Stat. ch. 13 and the Minnesota Rules of Public Access to Records of the Judicial Branch, the official office is the source of truth for court files, marriage records, jail data, and warrant status.
